A world we once have known

We stopped counting the days

Back then we would have given

Everything for a silent night

For the cities to turn off their lights

We desire the mumbling

Of a million voices all around

Just to know that someone’s still out there

Still breathing

 

To lure this world into destruction

Was the only logic choice

This generation of morons

Had no right to exist at all

Can’t you see we are the virus?

Spreading violence and hate

Humankind was never meant to be

The savior of themselves

We had to cleanse this world

 

I can still remember the blue skies above me

I long for those days, the easy days

Now only ruins remind us of mankinds golden age

But since the day the sky fell down on us

Everything changed

At the end I lay myself to sleep on this concrete bed of mine

Gossip and politics of a forgotten time

Keep me warm at night

In my dreams I drift away to a land that’s still alive

But in these empty streets ghost are haunting

Starin’ at us with guilt in their eyes

They follow our steps, aspirating in our ears

Poisoning our thoughts

Knowing all hope is gone
